Director/AdviserI have been working in the finance industry for over 30 years, initially working in banking, with the most recent bank role as a Mobile Mortgage Manager. In 2006 I decided to become a Mortgage Broker, enabling me to offer a far wider range of products, giving me more opportunities for my existing clients and to help me expand my client base. I hold a New Zealand Diploma of Business, and am a member of the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association.
In 2008 I joined Mortgage Link, buying in as a Co-Director, which I see as a great career highlight.
I love seeing clients achieve their goals and dreams. Whilst I always prefer clients make me their first choice, I remember a particular case where the clients had already seen their own bank and had been to a number of other lenders themselves and no one would approve their house purchase. Within approx 24 hours of seeing me, I had an approval for them, and a few weeks later they happily moved into their new home.
I grew up in Te Awamutu, and have been living in Hamilton since 1983. I am married to Adele and we have 3 grown up children, and one grandchild. I enjoy all sports, and currently participate in powerlifting and dragonboating. I have represented New Zealand in waka ama and dragonboating, which has taken me all over the world to places such as Rome, Capetown and Australia.
