Self employed / No financials
One of the frustrations for the self-employed is that they have to jump through more hoops to get a mortgage than their employees do. It's ironical that an employee only needs to show a payslip to prove they can service a loan, whereas the employer has to provide two years financial accounts.
Often financial accounts are not always up-to-date, and don't always reflect the real situation. There are now a number of very competitive products in the marketplace that may not even require you to provide financial accounts at all.
